Sitemap

A sitemap (or site map) is a list of pages of a web site.

Flightdec uses two types of sitemaps.

• One for human-visible listings, hierarchical of the pages of the site.
• One structured listings intended for web crawlers such as search engines.

Both listings are auto generated based on your sites homepage, menu and secondary menu if activated. These will be ordered according to your menu.

The rest of your sites pages will then be added according to the 'priority' the page is set at.

For the page to appear in the sitemap it must be on and not have expired. The generated listing will be cached for 7 days and will be renewed when it is requested again after the 7 days is up.

You may also for the sitemap to be renewed by clicking 'Regenerate Sitemap' on the 'Pages List'.

Custom Sitemaps

If you wish to override this functionality you may upload your own xml sitemap for webcrawlers. This can be done via the 'File Manager' or when editing a page. The file should be placed at the top level of your sites upload directory and should be named 'sitemap.txt'
