Responsive Slideshow
The slideshow module has two options.
- Creating a slideshow for the current page.
- Adding the current page, as a slide, to 1 or more slideshows.
Slideshow
A slideshow will display a number of images in a given location. You may set options like the number of slides to display, how long they should be displayed, the order they should be played in and if you wish to display buttons or use effects during the display transition.
Slideshow Section
This will allow you to select where you would like to place the slideshow. Multiple slideshows may be added to a page and each will need to be told which location it should be generating for. The select options will display the available options from the areas on your website.
Category
Slides can be assigned to categories. To enable a category, create a slide and enter the name you wish to use here. This category will then be displayed when creating a slide. You may assign a slide to more than one category.
Slides
Number of slides to display
This will display the entered number of slides at once. For example you may wish to display 3 slides at once. The default is 1.
Number of slides to scroll
When changing slides you may wish to change more than 1. For example if you have 3 slides displayed you may wish to change 1 of them, sliding them all across one, or all 3 at once, swapping all of them out at once. The default to scroll is 1.
Display Time
Enter the number of seconds you wish to have your slides displayed for. At the end of this period the slide will then transition to the next one.
Autoplay
This will make the slideshow start to play once it has loading, counting down from the display time and then changing slides. If this is not ticked the slides will not transition to the next slide unless the user changes it manually.
Fading
This will make the transition effect fade. Fading from once slide to the other.
The default is to slide the slide sideways.
Slide Speed
This is the time it takes for the slide to transition. Fading or sliding between slides.
Adaptive Height
Enabling this will allow the slideshow to change heights based on each slide.
Centred View
This will center the current slide in the slideshow, allowing partial slides to be displayed on the edge if needed.
Centre Padding
When enabling the center view, you may want to allow padding on each side. You may use a percentage of a px unit.
Variable Width
This will allow the slideshow to change widths based on what slide is displayed.
Vertical Slide
This will make the slide transition vertical. If left unticked the slide transition will be horizontal.
Slide Order
You can order the slides by:
Random - Will get all available slides and then randomize them when displaying the slideshow
Alpha - Will get the available slides and then sort them by A-Z. This will be page names and file names, which means you can order them easily by using names like 01-slide.jpg, 02-slide.jpg for example.
Time - Ordering by time will use the date the page/slide was modified or when the file was uploaded.
Prev/Next
This will display the prev and next buttons on the slide so that a user can change the slides manually.
Dot Indicators
This will display the dots as indicators for which slide is being displayed, allowing a user to select other slides or just a visual representation of which one they are one.
Slide
A slide is a page that can contain both images and text. This allows the user to create links on the slide itself.
Slides can be added to a number of categories.
