Site Name

This is the name of the Site. It will show up in broadcasts, Index Listing pages and in the administration banner or Assigned Sites page. It does not have to be unique but should be descriptive enough that it is recognisable at a glance.

Site Stage

The stage that the site is currently at.  This may be used on the Assigned Sites page to filter sites for developers or content administrators when looking for their sites that need attention.

Site Password

You may wish to secure your site from the general public or robots/crawlers. By entering a password (not encrypted) a visitor will be required to enter it once to view your site.

Site Domain

A sites domain is the URL visitors will enter into their browser to visit your site eg. to visit Flightdec you will type flightdec.com You will have to purchase this through an ISP, Domain host or Flightdec.com.
When entering the domain you will not need to type http://. You will also not need www. unless you explicitly want that as your MAIN domain. You may assign more domains to your site in the Secondary Domains section

Subsite URL

The subsite url is the keyword used to identify your site on the flightdec.com domain. It will also store all your sites uploaded and web accessible data. This will be a unique string and can use any combination of letters (a-z), numbers(0-9) and hyphens (-) or underscores (-) but it must start and end with a letter or number. Once entered this will not 'easily' be able to be changed and you will need to contact Flightdec to change it.

If you have not purchased a Site Domain you will have to use this subsite URL along with flightdec.com to access your site. eg. a subsite URL of smiths will be accessible on smiths.flightdec.com

Site Parent

You may associate a parent to this site for group or membership associations. This will allow the administrators of the parent site will be able to see the sites assigned to them.

Site SSL

If you wish to use a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate you will need to tick this. This will then server your site and its connected media from a secure connection using the HTTPS protocol. Certificates will need to be purchased from a reputable supplier or Flightdec.com and will need Flightdec to install them on the server.

Site Live

This is the date that you made this site go live, merely for your reference and to connect it to the Flightdec information on what sites are on the platform.

Broadcast Content

This will allow the site to share content with other sites in the community. When enabling broadcasting you will be opening your site up to the ability to send and receive content from other sites. This will allow each page to have its own options and a broadcasting button will appear when editing a page.

Enable Broadcast Sharing

Enabling Broadcast Sharing will allow administrators to broadcast a page that will open the link to it in the RECEIVING site. This will mean that the link will NOT BE A REDIRECT to your site and your pages content will show in the receiving sites template.

Google Analytics Number

Flightdec will use its own Google Analytics account for monitoring traffic but you may also assign your own accounts to store any recorded data. Each account can be entered with a separating comma, eg. UA-123456, UA-123457, UA-0943965. If you do not have an account you may sign up for Google Analytics or learn more about it here.

NOTE: If this field does not contain a 'UA-' in it it will be classified as invalid. This will still save the form so you will not have to create an account, but no data will be reported on the entered account and it will show on the Assigned Sites as having an invalid Google Analytics account associated to it.

Google Analytics Domain

This is the domain you entered for registering your Google Analytics Number. This was originally used to report data to that number, Flightdec has since updated to use the new Google APIS and this is no longer a required field.

This is the email that will be associated to the site and the From Name above. In some instances an email supplier has restricted sending of emails from their domains from other servers (Yahoo, office 360). Flightdec will now send emails as "contact@flightdec.com" with a reply to address of the email address entered here. This will circumvent the SPF record restriction or server permission problems.

The Site Description is brief text used in site searches and the display of basic information on the "Assigned Sites" page. It should be simple and short.

reCAPTCHA Secret key

reCAPTCHA is a way to verify that a user is not a robot. This is supplied through an API from google. By default enabling reCAPTCHA on any page or form will use the old version 1 system which requires a user to type in some text from an image. If you wish to use V2 you can sign up here.
